Our Mission

The mission of Colorado Interfaith Power and Light is to stimulate a faith-based response to the climate crisis by providing education, inspiration and support to all faith communities in Colorado.   We encourage faithful stewardship of God’s creation stewardship through the promotion of energy conservation, energy efficiency, renewable energy and making the commitment to sustainability. We seek to protect the earth’s ecosystems, safeguard public health and ensure sufficient sustainable energy for all.

Our Vision

Colorado Interfaith Power and Light and Colorado’s faith communities will be in the leadership of the movement for environmental stewardship.  CoIPL will lead congregations toward a sustainable future that protects the earth’s ecosystems, ensures sufficient sustainable energy for all, and works to meet the needs of those worst affected by climate change.  CoIPL will be widely recognized as the voice of the interfaith movement and we will be an indispensable part of environmental coalitions in Colorado.  Religious bodies will look to us for guidance, and media outlets and legislative representatives will regularly contact us for a faith-based perspective on climate change and other environmental issues.
