Our Philosophy

globe with background and white paper dolls small                         “(Human beings) regard themselves, their ideas and their feelings as separate and apart from all the rest (of creation). This illusion is a sort of prison; it restricts us to our personal aspirations and limits our affective life to a few people very close to us. Our task should be to free ourselves from this prison, opening up our circle of compassion in order to embrace all living creatures and all of nature in its beauty.”
Albert Einstein, 1879-1955

Colorado Interfaith Power and Light is one of 29 chapters in the country. We are growing nationwide with your help!  In 1997, Interfaith Power & Light (IP&L) originated as Episcopal Power & Light. Currently, IP&L state organizations are part of The Regeneration Project, which has the goal of establishing IP&L programs throughout the country. The mission is to provide a religious response to global warming.  We continue our work through the efforts of people who share our mission of education and outreach in their places of worship.
