Our overconsumption of fossil fuels and other natural resources is leading to many environmental problems such as air and water pollution, habitat destruction and climate change. At Colorado Interfaith Power & Light we advocate a three step process for successfully addressing these issues:
conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Our programs focus on educating community members who will go on to educate and inspire others in their community to live in a more sustianable manner. We train professional and volunteer Eco Auditors to provide consultations and analysis for businesses, schools and homeowners within their communities. Our Eco Audits are designed to help people understand where they are using energy, how much they spend on it, and what the environmental impacts are of their
particular lifestyle. Learn more about Eco Audits here.
Ongoing tracking provides the feedback for our programs. We use LCL ToolsTM as the software to provide the anlysis and tracking to provide quanitative measurement for our programs. If you would like more information about LCL ToolsTM, click here.
Once you've done what you can to consume less energy and use energy more wisely, a great next best step is to explore Renewable Energy Certificates. Learn more about our Driven by the Wind program here.
